Preparing To Study

The trick to successfully learning all of the study material is to make a specific time to sit down in front of the PC. If you set a time on a daily basis when you will just concentrate on reading through the study material and then working through the interactive practice tests, you will more likely remember information and be able to work through the material consistently and thoroughly.

You need proper fuel for your brain - wholegrain food, oily fish, fruit and seeds eg. pumpkin seeds are good for memory. Stay away from snacks and junk food.

Your Study Area

There should be no distractions. No TV on in the corner. No children running about....!! Ask other members of the household to respect your time to be left alone and at peace. A quiet area specifically set aside, preferably with a desk and comfortable chair will help. If you don't have these facilities and can only use your laptop on your lap sitting on a couch, then this will have to do. But you will do more good if you go to the local library and find a quiet place to begin your studying there. You can take the study handbook with you to study the material syllabus. You can also ask the Librarian if you can use the software disc in their machine if you don't have your own machine.
