Test QuestionsThe test questions are based on the study material syllabus created by the Advisory Group on Life in the United Kingdom. The first tests of knowledge about life in the United Kingdom was introduced in 2005 for people wanting to become British citizens. Since then the test has become mandatory for all those wishing to apply to remain settled in the UK after a certain period, and also for those wanting to apply for British citizenship. Study tools first published in 2004Lancaster & Coull Publishers first started publishing study tools in 2004 as a trial to assist candidates who wanted to prepare for their test. The publishing team wrote a series of questions based on the study material. These questions are meant to be representative of the types of questions that will be asked at the test, and by no means are the actual questions that will be asked. No one knows the exact questions as this is a closely guarded secret. The practice or revision questions have been created from almost every sentence in the study material. These revision questions are available in text, audio or digital. The software on the disc does not expire. The first publication handbook from Lancaster & Coull Publishers also contained a comprehensive software disc in the back of the book inside a plastic disc pouch. The software on the disc does not expire. This publication has been updated a number of times and is now available with software which includes free updates.
